What decision are you making?

The commercial A1–A4 classifications refer to families with different strength, ductility and surface patterns. Structural use must be assessed against the grade and properties specified in the standard and drawings. Evaluate technical specifications, the price basis, delivery terms and quality evidence together. A lower number is not a comparable offer if it covers a different grade, weight, coating or delivery scope.[1][2]

Iranian rebar offers often use A1–A4 commercial classifications, mill marks and domestic weight conventions. Overseas buyers should map these to the full standard and grade approved for the destination project, without assuming equivalence from rib shape or strength alone. Require heat-linked certificates, bundle identity and the specified bending, splice and welding evidence. Compare the same diameters and usable quantities in the agreed settlement currency at a named port or project location, including freight, handling, cutting yield and storage protection.

Technical mechanism and price impact

Higher yield strength may reduce required steel area, but ductility, tensile-to-yield ratio, elongation, bending and weldability remain important. Manufacturing route and chemistry affect behavior after bending or welding.[2][3][4]

Compare offers only after aligning units, the weight basis, taxes, packaging, loading, freight and quote validity. An omitted cost can outweigh the apparent saving per kilogram. Errors often begin when a trade name replaces a technical specification, one photograph stands for an entire shipment, or the delivery scope is missing from the quote.
