Introduction to Abarkuh Steel Industries
Abarkuh Steel Industries is an Iranian manufacturer of deformed reinforcing bars (rebar), known in the steel market by the short names "Abarkuh" and "Foolad Abarkuh". The mill's production focuses on deformed rebar produced to the A3 standard — a section widely used in the construction industry that accounts for a considerable share of the country's rebar demand. Alongside direct sales, the company's products have also been offered on the Iran Mercantile Exchange, and these two supply channels enable buyers to source high tonnages.
Products, Sizes and Standards
The mill's core product is A3 deformed rebar, listed in ten sizes:
- Sizes 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 25, 28 and 32
A3 rebar is produced with surface ribs (deformations) that strengthen the mechanical bond between steel and concrete, which is why it is a common choice for reinforcing concrete members — from foundations and columns to beams and other reinforced elements of a structure. That said, the grade and size of rebar must be selected strictly according to the project's technical specifications and execution drawings; for critical applications, always verify the product's conformity with the design documents together with the project consultant or supervising engineer.
This list reflects the sizes offered in the mill's catalog and does not necessarily cover its entire output. On the Iran Mercantile Exchange, the products have also been presented in various formats, including single-size baskets, mixed multi-size baskets and bars of different lengths — a variety that allows projects to choose a basket matching their needs.
Buying and Selection Guide
Weight-based pricing. Rebar is priced by weight (per kilogram) but delivered in bars. The weight of each bar depends on its size and length, so the number of bars per ton differs between small and large sizes. Define your order by tonnage (kilograms or tons), not merely by the number of bars.
Choosing a purchase channel. For high-volume supply, both direct factory sales and Iran Mercantile Exchange offerings are options you can choose between based on order volume and project scheduling. Multi-size baskets suit projects that need several sizes at the same time.
Matching technical specifications. Before placing an order, match the A3 grade, size and standard against the project's technical specifications so that the purchased product exactly meets the structural requirement.
Transport and delivery. Agree on the loading location, transport cost and delivery terms with the mill's sales unit before finalizing your order, so that your total landed cost is calculated correctly.
Prices include VAT by default. Each product’s pricing unit is shown in the table.
